Foundations Technology Academy (FTA) organized a field trip for Trevi Group employees on June 6, 2018 to enhance on-the-job training and career development.
One day training program was specifically designed for 20 students of different backgrounds to cover the equipment and operation of Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) piling system, which included the Soilmec SR-100 and SR-125 drilling rigs, service cranes and auxiliary units. Students also witnessed efficiency of the Soilmec Drilling Mate System (DMS) that uses telematics information to boost production, lower operating costs and enhance jobsite safety.
The training was located in a job site near Modena city (Emilia-Romagna region) and facilitated by Trevi industry experts, providing the opportunity to expand students working knowledge and technical expertise. During CFA piles execution (d. 800mm, L=19/34m) participants were exposed to the basics of CFA drilling method, as well as the general arrangement of the production cycle.
This upskilling program deepened students understanding of the key performance challenges in geotechnical engineering, emphasizing both theory and practical application.
FTA in-house training sessions are scheduled on a regular basis to enable new facilitation and stimulate employee engagement and can be extended to external customers and partners.
