Three training courses

Foundations Technology Academy (FTA) delivered three training courses in late-September 2017 to develop professional expertise of the Soilmec Distribution Network.

Soilmec has a strong and efficient sales network with an extensive coverage in more than 90 countries worldwide committed to maximizing the success of Soilmec customers with reliable service and dedicated support.

A brief training session focused on the Soilmec products for LDP application was set-up on 11-14.09.2017 for Equipment Sales & Service Limited (ESS), Canada. ESS has been keeping Canada's heavy equipment up and running for more than 70 years, proudly representing many of today's most respected equipment brands. ESS is the full-line distributor for Soilmec foundation drill rigs in Central Canada since 2015. The course, incorporating theory in the classroom backed up with hands-on practicals outlined essential features of the Soilmec LDP rigs and basics of the DMS-system for optimal equipment operation.

A new learning initiative was launched by Soilmec North America for local dealers: American Equipment & Fabricating Corp, Champion Equipment Sales, Equipment Sales & Service and Western Equipment Solutions. Ad-hoc course was set-up through FTA in-house training facilities in PSM (Asolo, Italy) on 15-16.09.2017 to gain complete confidence in Soilmec micro drilling equipment aimed at satisfying specific market needs. The training was intended for experienced service engineers who perform commissioning, maintenance, check-up and repair on newly launched Soilmec micro pilling machines:

  • SM-22 featuring Tier4 Final engine and innovative rod and casing feed system,
  • SM-17 in customized configuration,
  • SM-14 presented with larger undercarriage, extended monolithic mast and telescopic extractor,
  • SM-6 newly released with a more powerful Tier4 Final engine.

The course also provided an overview of product specification, components, systems, running conditions, service interventions and troubleshooting.

Further developing an increasingly solid partnerships with SM Polska (Poland), Soilmec arranged for a tailor-made training course on the SM-20 and SM-21 micro drilling rigs. The machines are Soilmec proven best-sellers and will be employed by Soletanche Polska in an ongoing project for jet grouting treatment in Gdansk. The training session for SM Polska technical personnel was held in PSM (Asolo, Italy) on 19-20.09.2017 to ensure top quality on-site assistance for the customer.
